János Jáger

János Jáger was born in Kaposvár in 1953, raised in a sugar factory family. He graduated from the successor of the Kaposvár Sugar Industry Technical School, then started his higher education at the Agricultural Academy of Irrigatin and Melioration in Szarvas.

He spent his internship years at the South Transdanubian Water Management Directorate, and then gradually turned his attention to irrigation. As a soil expert at the Somogy County Plant Health and Soil Protection Station, he graduated from the Agricultural University of Mosonmagyóvár and obtained a degree in soil engineering from the Agricultural University of Gödöllő. His main professional tasks were soil fertility testing and, as chief inspector for irrigation, the control of irrigation investments.

He has been a forensic expert since 1992.

Since 1993 he has been preparing several soil improvement projects in the South Transdanubian region as a contractor. Until 2008 he was the professional preparer and then the exclusive distributor of lime sludge from the Kaposvár sugar factory.

He is currently a qualified designer in the fields of irrigation, inland and outdoor water management and an environmental expert.

He is a member of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers (MMK), the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and the Hungarian Chamber of Legal Experts (MISZK).

Currently, besides his position as a senior expert of GeoKalk Ltd., he is also a member of the Board of Judicial Experts in Agricultural Economics.
